More importantly, we recognize the technological age we find ourselves in today and we know that millions of people in crisis will never pick up the phone. We believe that IMAlive is part of the solution to the problem. IMAlive is a live online crisis network that uses instant messaging to respond to people in crisis. People need a safe place to go 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

About The IMAlive Partners
The Kristin Brooks Hope Center has partnered with To Write Love on Her Arms to launch IMAlive. Since 1998, 1-800-SUICIDE has responded to more than 3 million calls from people in crisis. To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) has an online audience of over 500,000. Since 2006, they have responded to more than 100,000 messages from people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
The QPR Institute will provide the training and certification of the IMAlive volunteers and staff, and regarded as the leader in crisis intervention training. The IMAlive project is also possible through the support of the PostSecret community and founder Frank Warren.
